Amy B. Otzel is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Retired U.S. Army CTARNG Behavioral Health Sergeant, Iraq War combat theater Veteran, former Readjustment Counseling Therapist with the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and past CT State Military Support Program Clinician. While informed by graduate degree achievements in psychology, professional counseling, and integrative health & healing, Amy’s personal journey to inspire her own health, wellness, and the healing from trauma has enhanced her endeavor to contribute forward in healing service to others. Committed to holistically-minded integrative mental health care, Amy is currently continuing the mission in service to Military Members, Veterans, and their Families in private practice at Inner Resource in Colchester, CT. Additionally, Amy serves as an advocate on the VA Mental Health Community Advisory Board and routinely contributes in educational service as a Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry Lecturer, a Peer Recovery Support Specialist Veteran’s curriculum educator with Recovery University by Advocacy Unlimited, a certified holistic stress management instructor, and an Advanced Breath~Body~Mind teacher for survivors of trauma.
