I am a military veteran, was a military spouse for 10 years, and am now a veteran spouse. I entered the counseling field because I recognized the need and wanted to help fellow military members and their families. I graduated in 2013 with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I interned at a therapy office in New York while completing my degree. I conducted both individual and group therapy sessions with clients of all ages. I addressed a variety of topics to include social skills, coping skills, and emotional regulation. After completing my internship, I was hired by the agency to work as a staff counselor until I relocated. I continued my work with counseling when I volunteered as a counselor at the Chaplain Family Life Center in Fort Polk, LA. After my time in Louisiana was complete, I moved to North Carolina and became a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and am working towards my full license. I currently work under supervis
I grew up as a daughter of a Navy service member. I joined the Army in 2001 and was honorably discharged in 2006. In addition, my husband was also an Army solider and retired in 2017.
